The project entailed laying down 1,233 km of fiber cables underground to service Abu Dhabi Airports’ current and future needs in a flexible and reliable manner. The distance of cable used is close to a round trip between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh. Planning for this project started in March 2015 and the last man-hole was closed in earlier this year.

The delivery of this project was challenging due to its scope and complexity which involved multiple teams from several contractors, stakeholders and service providers.
