We are proud to announce that Abu Dhabi Airport Business City, which operates and manages Business/Logistics Parks and Business Centers – known as Free Zones – around our airports has issued its 100th Free Zone license.

This achievement is in line with the OGSM goal ‘Grow Commercial Businesses'. The 100th Free Zone license was issued to a multi-national company called H&S Aviation Ltd who just leased eight warehouses in the Logistics Park to start their first MRO facility in the region.

It is interesting that the majority of these licenses have been issued to international companies, with 40% of them taken by European companies alone. This demonstrates the global appeal of Abu Dhabi Airport Business City, with it being located so close to a major global transportation hub.

In other Business City developments, our 1st Business Park building is also on schedule and has now reached the 4th floor. Leasing of the commercial space in the Business Park has already started, with significant levels of interest from potential customers, and the building is expected to be ready to commence operations by April 2015.

Abu Dhabi Airport Business City is a key driver towards the development of Abu Dhabi Airports enabling it to further achieve its vision in becoming the world’s leading airports group.
